What Makes a Healthy Meal?
What I’ve learned over the years of struggling to find meals that work for my lifestyle and goals, is that we are way overcomplicating it. It can be intimidating when you’re just getting started or trying to learn how to cook your own healthy food, especially when TikTok is chock-full of complex, multi-step, numerous ingredient meals that may look beautiful, but overall are just intimidating and overwhelming.
To be real with you, what makes a healthy meal are these four things:
Protein
Complex Carbs
Healthy Fat
Vegetables (to provide fiber, vitamins, and minerals)
The rest doesn’t really matter.
So Where Do I Start?
Here’s what I like to do:
